I have tried the most popular solution on other forums, switching the game's compatibility settings to run in Windows XP Service Pack 2, but this has failed. Vanilla Supreme Commander runs excellently on my computer. Does it crash right at startup or after effects were loaded Crash happens in the NVIDIA driver, so I asume something in ReShades renderer is going wrong. I'm so excited for this sequel, supreme commander makes even the latest C&C look like an RTS from 1995. I am currently having a problem with Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. Other issues I had with the original game:Įven though I had a 64-bit System with 8GB of fast RAM the game would never utilise more then 3GB, and it would crash with errors such as 'out of memory' ITS THERE. The director of the game has come out and said that is a key area they have focused and are aiming to have this game run on hardware from 3 to 5 years ago. The scale of this game is meant for thousands of units but they didn't do enough testing in my opinion if your game doesn't run how its supposed to on the fastest hardware available where money is no object then you have problems.
Sure you could run it at 2560x1600 with all the graphics on high but if you looked at a part of the map with lots of units the game became barely playable. Even with the most expensive hardware on the market at the time of the games release (QX6700 the only Quad Core on the market coupled with the fastest GPU available at the time the 8800GTX) it ran modestly. Im reinstalling it now without the patches and i'll see whats happens. This is the first time ive installed the game since upgrading to Windows 7.

I remember reading that AI in both have flawed script and I think no support for multi core CPUs is also responsible for crashes in skirmish mode. I loved the original game the sheer epic size of it. DeimosFresh: Well, from my experience playing both fully patched CD versions of original SC and FA, both will crash regardless how many AIs you use.
